Just Back From Egypt and Jordan

Hi We have just returned to New Zealand from 5 weeks in Egypt and Jordan,backpacking and on public transport.If you need any suggestions contact us,we are oldies but we travel hard,cheap hotels buses etc. We stayed at the Crown Hotel in Cairo,be warned the photo on Travellers point is not actually where you will be staying,entrance is by a side door,which took a lot of find and on the 4th floor,accessed by a very dubious lift.The rooms where dirty and paint was pealing off the ceiling,bathroom was disgusting,not to forget the homemade bum washer,piece of copper pipe stick up in the bowl!!! The staff were less than helpful.Not reccomended.
